Dark Souls handpainted: Elite Knight
I've been meaning to get into characters for a while now, and with time being in abudance recently I thought it would be a good time to teach myself how to handpaint a little better. Over the course of the last week I combined these with my love for the Dark souls series with this low poly Elite Knight.
Fitting onto 2 easily compressable texturesets at 1 and 2k respectively this was a fun if challenging exercise calling on a variety of skillsets to not only model and paint but rig, skin, render and generally get the look I was after.
Total tri count sits at 4834 for the character and weapon with a full rig for posing/ animation underneath with the model being rendered in Unity Personal Edition.
Now I know the workflow better for this style of character, I could look into a series of the most popular sets, after I've given my poor Wacom a break.
