Before the year runs out, I thought I'd settle into much shorter, more striaght forward project. In this case, an axe based on some Diablo 3 concept work I dug out of a book.
This was a great change of pace and came out quickly with minimal effort, laying the ground work for more ambitious projects in a similar style.
The maps are baked at 2k from a 5.5mil Zbrush sculpt onto a 3.8k tri low poly, with the bulk of the texture work done in Substance painter.
